(a) At the request of a University of Calgary Glaciologist, Gabrielle’s latest project is to locate an expedition airplane (Norseman N61532) that went missing in 1951 near the Yukon/Alaska border. On 16 June 2010 Gabrielle saw and accurately described a very specific rock formation on the mountain where the plane crashed and that formation has been verified and air photographed on the 26 and 31 August 2010 on the exact mountain that Gabrielle named as the crash site. However, weather conditions so far have made it impossible to send in a team to search for the plane and the bodies of those on board. As soon as suitable weather conditions allow every effort will be made to do a ground search. As progress is being made, this case will be documented by the media.
(b) On December 28, 2010, Gabrielle provided the exact location of Amelia Earhart's plane "The Electra" to TIGHAR (The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery). The event was recorded live on TV and we are awaiting the successful recovery of the craft. You can view the recording on our video gallery page.
